Community Engagement through Educational Events

Our events are designed to enhance connection with local community, with nature, and with bees. When you book an event with us, we will tailor the content and teaching style to suit your audience and event space. From elementary schools to corporate campus events, we strive to create meaningful educational experiences for all ages and comfort levels with the bees. Bee Basics: Hive Show and Tell

This event takes place at the onsite beehive. Participants will be fully suited up in beekeeping gear and with the help of their beekeeper guide, will receive a thorough lesson about how the beehive functions.
Meet the Beekeeper

This Q and A style event offers the chance to ask all your buzzing questions directly to one of PachaMama Bees’ beekeepers.
Planting for Pollinators

In this class, participants will learn how to get started with their own pollinator garden using native Texas plants that can thrive in the Austin area, as well as learn the importance of providing floral resources and spaces for pollinators.
Honey Harvest & Bottling Workshop

Our sweetest event is all about honey! Participants will learn how bees produce honey, and then extract and process the honey frames and bottle the finished product themselves. Each participant will receive a jar of the finished product to take home.
Candle Making

This hands-on event will include a lesson on beeswax use and processing throughout history. Participants will then design and pour their own candle using fresh, natural beeswax, and design their own label for their jar candle.
Box Painting Party

Participants will design and paint real bee boxes that will be used as a home for their bees onsite, while learning about hive design types and other fun bee facts.
Build Your Own Bee Hotel

This event includes a lesson on native bees in the area and their different qualities and habitats, while attendees design and build their own wild bee hotel to take home.
To Bee or Not to Bee Trivia

This team trivia game offers the chance for participants to flex their bee knowledge, foster healthy competition against their fellow tenants, and earn fun prizes.
